What a reorder point is

A stock threshold that, when hit, signals it's time to buy more — accounting for how long resupply takes.

A simple formula

Reorder point = (average daily use × lead time in days) + safety stock

Where to set them

• Raw materials — grain, botanicals, yeast
• Packaging — bottles, caps, labels (the usual culprits)
• Anything with a meaningful lead time
